Power IGBT Product Line

IGBT

The Fuji Electric IGBT modules have been developed to be used as switching elements for the power converters of variable-speed drives for motors, uninterruptable power supplies, and others. An IGBT is a semiconductor device that combines the high-speed switching performance of a power MOSFET with the high-voltage/high-current handling capabilities of a bipolar transistor.

IGBT IPM

An IPM incorporates a control IC that has an IGBT drive circuit and a protection circuit, so it is easy to design peripheral circuits and can secure high system reliability.
Suitable for applications such as AC servo, air conditioning equipment and elevators.
There are small-capacity IPM in a 15 A to 30 A/600 V series, and the V-IPM, which cover capacities up to 400 A/600 V and 200 A/1200 V.
Overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, control power supply voltage drop protection and overheat protection are built in and an alarm signal is output.

IGBT Module PIM

The PIM (Power Integrated Module) is a product that integrates a 3-phase inverter circuit, a diode bridge circuit, and a braking circuit into a single module, making it possible to create a compact design for the main circuit.
There are two main types of PIM depending on the motor capacity, namely the compact and lightweight small-capacity PIM and the EconoPIM™.
We have prepared a product lineup to meet various requirements for the module terminal and printed circuit board connections, including the two types of soldered and solderless, and also products with different main terminal arrangements.M730

IGBT Module 6-Pack

The 6-Pack is a product that integrates a 3-phase inverter circuit into a single module, making it possible to create a compact design for the main circuit.
Solder and solderless terminals are available for connection to the module terminal and the printed circuit board.
EconoPACK™+ separates the DC input and AC output terminals to both sides, and it makes it possible to create a compact design for large capacity 3-phase inverter circuits.

IGBT 2-Pack

The 2-Pack incorporates a half-bridge circuit.
We have a product lineup compatible with a wide range of converter capacities such as those needed for UPS, general-purpose inverters, electric railroads, and mega solar. High reliability is required for infrastructure applications, and the High Power Modules and PrimePACK™ are suitable.
The standard products have a conventional product shape, so they are compatible with the products of other companies.

IGBT 1-Pack

The 1-Pack is a single element product that is appropriate for large capacity power converters.
There are two types of standard packages: aluminum oxide and aluminum nitride used on an insulating DCB substrate.
Power semiconductors for electric railroads and electric power systems are required to be highly reliable and high-power modules are appropriate.
These have high heat cycle tolerance and power cycle tolerance, while also ensuring a tracking performance CTI greater than 600.

IGBT Module Choppers

The IGBT Chopper/Inverter consists of seven insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) mounted in a half-size EMS module. Six IGBTs are used to implement choppers and inverters. These IGBTs are protected against a variety of severe operating conditions, such as short-circuits, overvoltage, overcurrent, and overheat.

IGBT Modules   High-speed Type

A high-speed IGBT module is a product suitable for applications with switching frequencies between 20 k and 50 kHz, such as power supplies for medical equipment, welding machines, and induction heating. We have a product lineup that includes a boost chopper module and a half-bridge module.

IGBT Module for 3-Level Power Conversion Circuit

Compared to the 2-level type, the output waveform is closer to a sine wave, so the LC filter can be made smaller. It also has half the switching losses, so it is advantageous for realizing a highly efficient design. It is suitable for photovoltaic power generation systems or uninterruptible power systems.
Fuji Electric provides IGBT modules compatible with both T-type and I-type 3-level circuits. Particularly, Fuji Electric’s uniquely developed RB-IGBT (Reverse Blocking) chip is used for an AC switch on T-type modules to realize a low loss.

Discrete IGBT

The discrete IGBT is for applications such as UPS, power conditioners, air conditioners, and welding machines, and it can be applied to power factor correction circuits and DC/AC converter circuits.
This product was developed using Fuji Electric’s unique technology as an RB-IGBT with reverse withstand voltage features. It can be configured for bi-directional switching and 3-level inverter circuits.

IGBT Modules for EV, HEV

The module achieves low loss and miniaturization by utilizing a 7th-generation RC-IGBT chip and direct liquid-cooled structure that equips the module with a cooling unit.
It also secures fast and accurate overheating protection and short-circuit protection through its built-in current sense IGBT and temperature sense diode.
