Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. has started the production of the
NC2700MA / NC2701MA / NC2702MA series for Point Of Load purposes
We are proud to introduce the all-new NC270xMA series switching regulator targeted for applications requiring a very high operating current such as a so-called Point of Load converter for FPGA, communication base stations, network servers, and other industrial and medical devices. It has a wide input voltage range of up to 28 V and product versions are available with 20 A, 10 A, and 6 A output current.
The NC270xMA series addresses a number of typical issues
Small PCB Mounting Area: The module contains not only the core regulator controller but also peripheral components like the inductor, high-side & low-side MOSFETs, and bypass capacitor. Also, the module provides peace of mind for the designer that enables easy board design of power supply circuits up to 20 A by simply placing input and output capacitors and other components next to these products.
Optimal Heat Dissipation Performance: Since this product delivers high output currents, it is important to optimize the heat dissipation performance. The NC270xMA series has excellent results, even with its compact total mounting area of only 19 x 21 mm.
Easy Probing Inspection: It is often difficult to perform measurements on a leadless package soldered to the PCB as all terminals are underneath the package. The QFN0910-65-MA package provides access to all pins from the side of the package to make electrical evaluation easier.
