Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. has launched the remarkable NC2600, synchronous rectification, and a maximum output current of 2A step-down switching regulator with a PWM/PFM auto switching mode function.
This device especially is designed to be used in small ー the limitation of the board area where electronic components can be mounted has become increasingly severe. The NC2600 is available in a tiny WLCSP-8-P11 package with a total PCB area of only 12.87 square millimeters including external components.
Also, it is equipped with a function that automatically switches between PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation) mode and PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) mode depending on the output current to enable efficient voltage conversion at light load. This function enables the product to achieve both responses to heavy load and high efficiency at light load.
