Kyocera is to release OnCell touch panels to their displays. Some of the benefits of this technology is that it reduces mechanical thickness and weight, price savings due to fully integrated into TFT (low process cost, no additional optical bonding). There is also an improved outdoor readability due to less air gaps in the panel. Also, a reduction in noise with a TP IC integrated into the PCB of the of the LCD module.
